Allergy and Food Intolerance Testing

Food intolerances and Allergies are linked to the human immune system which is the body?s defence against what it perceives to be foreign invaders such as poisons, harmful bacteria and other pathogens, Research is going on to show that there is a link between food intolerances with obesity.

Many foods which appear to have no ill effect on one person, can often have an adverse affect on someone else. This can result in stomach and gut related illnesses, skin problems, hay fever type of symptoms and ulcers.

At Family Nutrition Clinic, food intolerances and allergies can be detected in clinic with the SCIO or by a simple prick test using the Food Detective Test. If preferred, the York Laboratory Test is also available.

Following food detection, the results are clearly and carefully explained with clear guide lines for follow on. At least 1 follow up consultation is recommended for progress to be monitored until the health issue is resolved.
